Copper Chef Perfect Loaf Pan Reviews

Bertha Bailey in her review of the Copper Chef Perfect Loaf Pan says- “It rusted after one use and there were particles of, whatever coats the inside, left on my meatloaf… Terribly cheap, health hazard and overpriced”.

Sonia Mcdaniel is unhappy with her Copper Chef Perfect Loaf Pan and mentions in her review- “Product is badly designed. Insert it’s much higher than the actually bottom of the bakeware”.

Kim Pena who purchased the Copper Chef Perfect Loaf Pan is not pleased with the performance of the Copper Chef Perfect Loaf Pan and says in her review that the tray isn’t deep enough for the proper drainage of fat away from the meatloaf. She says that what happens is that the meatloaf essentially sits in the grease droppings through the entire cooking so the bottom is grease soaked and mushy.

Andrea Greene in her review of the Copper Chef Perfect Loaf Pan says- “It’s showing scratches from utensils and it’s rusting in the scratches as well as other places. Copper Chef Perfect Loaf Pan is very disappointing. Even with using PAM cooking spray my meatloaf always sticks and the meatloaf comes through the little holes”.

Joanne Mcgee says in her review that the Copper Chef Perfect Loaf Pan needs some serious redesign. She says she has used it twice and the bottom scratched from scouring it.

Agnes Stone complains in her Copper Chef Perfect Loaf Pan review that the handles are on the tray and there are no ridges on the base pan. She says she found herself mistakenly lifting the pan out by the handles and spilling it. She also adds that it is dangerous for people automatically lifting it out of the oven by the handles.

Laurie Ortiz also makes similar complaints in her review of the Copper Chef Perfect Loaf Pan. She wonders how it can rust under the rim so easily, especially since it is a non-stick pan. She also complains that it would be great if the pan itself had some form of handle for lifting the unit out of the hot oven. She states that you have to grip the pan by the sides and the very small lip around the edges to lift it.

Another user Angelica Mccoy says in her Copper Chef Perfect Loaf Pan review- “After about six months of use the teflon coating in the pan started to come off causing the meatloaf to stick”.

Willie Pope mention in his review of the Copper Chef Perfect Loaf Pan – “Too small for a 2 pound meatloaf. I used a cookie sheet but found it is very slippery”.

Blanca Fields who bought the Copper Chef Perfect Loaf Pan says in her review of the Copper Chef Perfect Loaf Pan -“The pan itself is a standard loaf pan and the perforated tray reduces the available volume of the pan so all of your recipes will have to be adjusted for what is now a non-standard size pan”.

Sandy Buchanan in her Copper Chef Perfect Loaf Pan review states-“There is no benefit to using the lift-out trivet. The pan is coated and a little oil or shortening should make for easy removal of the loaf.”

Copper Chef Perfect Loaf Pan Questions & Answers

Q. Does the Copper Chef Perfect Loaf Pan raise the height of the loaf sufficiently that when the grease drains away it is not sitting/cooking in a puddle of grease?
A. Yes. There is a good 1/2″-1″ gap on the bottom of the Copper Chef Perfect Loaf Pan.

Q. Has anyone made one pound meatloaf in the Copper Chef Perfect Loaf Pan?
A. The Copper Chef Perfect Loaf Pan holds a lot more than 1lb but you could try shaping it into a short, thick rectangle and by placing it into the middle of the pan and not spreading the meat out to the edges it would probably be fine, otherwise it would be too flat and probably not as juicy or may even turn out dry.

Q. Can you buy just the part that lifts out?
A. It came as a set!

Q. What is the metal used in the Copper Chef Perfect Loaf Pan?
A. Aluminized steel

Q. Can the Copper Chef Perfect Loaf Pan be used in a microwave?
A. No. Copper Chef Perfect Loaf Pan is a metal pan and cannot be used in the microwave.

Q. Will the Copper Chef Perfect Loaf Pan rust if I wash it in a dishwasher?
A. Copper Chef Perfect Loaf Pan would probably rust if washed in a dishwasher, unless the air dry cycle is hot enough to evaporate all water and it is tilted enough to drain out the corner. The Copper Chef Perfect Loaf Pan is coated with a non-stick surface that may chip and wear over time depending on how it’s handled.

Q. Has anyone had a problem with rust in the Copper Chef Perfect Loaf Pan?
A. Yes, the Copper Chef Perfect Loaf Pan is a cheap pan. Don’t use the Copper Chef Perfect Loaf Pan.

Q. Does anyone have tips for cleaning the tray? Mine is covered with black splotches from the drained grease (burnt) collecting after every use.
A. It will rust if allowed to soak or not drained well after washing. Clean it with a plastic scrubbing pad in soapy water, rinse well, towel dry and drain in a warm oven, tilting so water runs out a corner. If you’ve used a metal scrubby pad you will scratch off the non stick coating.

Q. The meatloaf insert is concave at the bottom instead of straight…is this by design or did I receive a defective one?
A. In the Copper Chef Perfect Loaf Pan the insert is slanted toward the bottom of the pan. This probably allows better drainage of grease.

Q. Will the Copper Chef Perfect Loaf Pan fit in the Nuwave oven?
A. Copper Chef Perfect Loaf Pan is the size of a regular loaf pan. There is no difference.

Q. Has anyone tried using the Copper Chef Perfect Loaf Pan as a bread pan?
A. No, but see no reason for not doing so. Based on the size, use a little over 2lb (1kg) of dough. You’ll likely need to increase the baking time a little. That implies you may need to lay some aluminum foil over the top for the last ten minutes or so, to avoid over-browning the crust.

Q. What cooking time/temperature would you recommend for a standard 2 pound meatloaf in the Copper Chef Perfect Loaf Pan?
A. It depends on oven temperature and meat to cereal mix ratio.

Q. Where is the Copper Chef Perfect Loaf Pan made?
A. Copper Chef Perfect Loaf Pan is made in China.

  1. I just got the perfect loaf pan and trying a 1.53 pound roast with potatoes and carrots under the meat to keep them from getting dry…roast I’d right at even with the top of the pan…the recipe booklet that came with it had two meat recipes and neither one said anything about covering anything… can things be covered with aluminum foil…?

  2. THE ADS ARE NOT TRUE. MINE STICK AND BURN. I BOUGHT ME A SET AND MY MOTHER A SET. I TOLD HER NOT TO USE THEM ANYMORE. THEY ARE TO HARD TO CLEAN. JUST SOMETHING ELSE I FELL FOR ONE AGAIN. I WISH MY REMARK COULD BE SEEN BY OTHERS LIKE ME SO I COULD MAYBE SAVE THEM MONEY.

  3. I have read some complaints, and I don’t understand them. One complaint said “the bottom got scratched when I scoured it.” But, the instructions say do not scour or use abrasive cleaners on it. Another complaint said “my metal fork damaged the surface. ” But the instructions say over and over not to use metal utensils on it. I follow the use and cleaning instructions, and I have gotten many uses out of my Copper Chef cookware including the loaf pan, and I have never had a single problem. No scratching, rusting or anything else. Finally, one guy said a 2 pound meatloaf does not fit the loaf pan. I just made one yesterday. Actual size was probably more like 2 & 1/4 or 2 & 1/2 Lbs once you added the 2 Lbs beef with the bread crumbs and Parmesan cheese and onions and peppers and eggs, and my loaf fit perfectly in the loaf pan with the lift insert in place. You do have to follow the instructions though.
